Hi, my name is Amelia Penney-Crocker.  I’m a writer and climate activist living on the unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. This cite was originally created in 2020 when I did my letter writing campaign, writing a letter a week to the Prime Minister between December 11th 2019 to December 11th 2020. I am now a busy university student and inactive here, though still very active in the world of climate and social justice activism and writing. I am also a filmmaker and you can check out some of the work I’ve done in that field on my YouTube.

While there are many things in these letters I would revise now that I have greater knowledge and more training as a writer, I keep the original versions I wrote at 14 published here because I hope that they can inspire other young people to write to the Prime Minister and move everyone to take action against the climate crisis.

I have published a few  other pieces about the climate crisis on this webpage over the years, but most of my writing stays on my laptop now or is published in the Dalhousie Gazette.

I hope the continued existence of this cite helps remind people that their voices matter and they have a right to address the highest office in the country directly. You can write to teh prime minister (for free, you don’t need a stamp) at this address.
